ABOUT

A Different Approach to Healing

Here, therapy is not about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about understanding and healing the parts of you that have been carrying the most.

What You Won’t Find Here

This work may feel different from what you’ve experienced before.

  • Therapy that stays on the surface

  • Diagnoses that reduce you to a label

  • Pathologizing language about your symptoms

  • Quick fixes, coping tricks, or temporary solutions

Your symptoms are not problems to eliminate—they are meaningful responses that once served a purpose.

What You Will Find Here

  • A space grounded in compassion, safety, and respect

  • Acceptance of all parts of you—without judgment

  • A body- and mind-based approach to deep healing

  • A clear, intentional path toward lasting change

  • Support in accessing your own inner healing intelligence

This is not a space for endless venting. We work together in a focused, intentional way—toward real transformation.

Traci Withrow, LCSW

  • I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based, transformative approach to therapy.

IFS understands that we are all made up of different parts—each with its own history, role, and intention. Even the parts that create distress are trying to protect you in some way.

In this work, no part of you is pathologized. Instead, we focus on healing the burdens these parts carry—so that change happens naturally, from the inside out.

You may have tried therapy before—perhaps learning to challenge negative thoughts or change behaviors. While that can help in the short term, deeper patterns often remain.

IFS allows us to go beyond surface-level change and into the deeper system where those patterns were formed.

  • I’ve been a clinical social worker since 1996, when I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of individuals and communities, including immigrants, trauma survivors, children and families, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, and complex emotional experiences. I specialize in treating complex and developmental trauma.

In addition to my clinical work, I’ve served as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and have provided supervision and training for associate licensed social workers.

    My training includes:

    • Internal Family Systems (Level 3 trained, certified, and approved consultant)

    • EMDR

    • Somatic approaches

    • Polyvagal Theory

    • Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy training

This work is deeply personal to me.

Not because I have all the answers, but because I’ve experienced what becomes possible when we begin to relate to ourselves with compassion instead of judgment.

That’s the space I aim to offer you.
